MovingImages is a scripting tool for the processing of video frames and image files. MovingImages comes with pre-written scripts and comprehensive documentation for writing your own scripts.
MovingImages comes with a ruby gem that makes writing scripts using the ruby scripting language easy. However, any scripting language that can easily generate JSON objects can be used to write scripts for MovingImages.
It is recommended to watch the first episode of the video getting started with scripting MovingImages before installing. Please visit the blog on the zukini website to view the video series.
Links to the documentation can be found near the end of the MOVINGIMAGES page of the zukini website.
MovingImages is fast. For processing fewer than 100 image files MovingImages performance is similar to that of other image processing solutions like sips, but with more than 100 files the MovingImages equivalent can be up to three times faster at doing similar jobs. The MovingImages scripts provides both scaling and export quality options where appropriate.
MovingImages has no competitors on the Macintosh. There is no video scripting tool for the Macintosh that can provide the range and flexibility of functionality provided by MovingImages. The drawing functionality, image filters and frame by frame video access are unsurpassed.
